Planet Money

I hope everyone had a good holiday. I spent some time catching up on This American Life and wanted to share another great example of storytelling to add to Katlin’s list below.

I’m sure that some (if not all) of you are already familiar with NPR’s Planet Money. Their team has done some terrific, award-winning retellings of the financial crisis, with very well explained segments on real estate in particular. In the one I listened to recently, called Toxie, the staff purchases a toxic asset and tracks the trail of paperwork around the country, collecting very personal snapshots of the events and people involved. I think it might be a great model for the kinds of “storytelling” projects we’ve discussed.

See you all at 6pm!
